The Layer42 San Francisco Bay Area Network consists of multiple strands of dark fiber connecting every major colocation facility in the Bay Area. Using DWDM technology we operate a ring of multiple 10 Gigabit connections between each facility. This high capacity network, along with MPLS technology allows for a fully fault tolerant network with the lowest latency and jitter as well as highest uptime available.
Layer42 offers Point to Point Ethernet between all of its on-net locations on both fixed and variable rate plans. Burstable speeds up to 10 Gbps are available. VLANs/802.1q will be passed transparently. Multicast and Jumbo Frames are also fully supported.
